Pedro Mesquita Sousa interview to Forbes

MS Group history began over 20 years ago in the construction industry under the leadership of Pedro Mesquita Sousa. However, since 2019, the company has shifted its focus to the hospitality segment, offering refined accommodations.

After opening the first four-star units under Moon & Sun brand in Porto and Braga, the group is now about to launch its five-star brand in Aveiro, under the MS Collection insignia.

The luxurious project aims at the rehabilitation of an 18th-century building, with its decoration inspired by the life and work of Eça de Queiroz. The preservation of the historical and cultural heritage represents a 7-million-euro investment, making it city’s first five-star hotel. Pedro Mesquita Sousa believes that “only this way we can guarantee an authentic experience for our guests, (re)discovering history within history.”

In addition, there are also new developments in the real estate area this year. After Condomínio das Artes, located at Rua Adolfo Casais Monteino in Porto, the group has launched Avenida Premium project at Avenida da República, also intended for primary residence.
