Themed Dinners at Prosa

To end the year in celebration, the restaurant Prosa, located in MS Collection Aveiro, has organized two themed dinners.

Jantares Temáticos Prosa

The first event takes place on November 29, during the week marking the 179th anniversary of Eça de Queirós’s birth.

The “Queirosian Dinner” will be the perfect blend of literature and the flavors and knowledge of Portuguese gastronomy. A table experience with dishes inspired by the numerous culinary references in Eça’s literary works, featuring regional products. Throughout the dinner, excerpts from the writer’s works will be recited.

In an atmosphere that takes guests back in time, restaurant Prosa will host this dinner with a menu designed by Chef Rui Paula, featuring: Cod Carpaccio and Roe; Peaches Steeped in Port Wine, Foie Gras, and Brioche; “Sea Fish Alentejo-Style”; Lamb with Baked Rice; and Toucinho do Céu. Each course will be paired with a selection of wines.

 

Then, on December 6, Prosa and Chef Rui Paula will welcome Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, holder of two Michelin stars at his restaurant Alma, for a four-hands dinner.

This exclusive event promoting high Portuguese cuisine will present a menu created in partnership between the two chefs, making for a true work of culinary art.

The menu will include: Cod Cornetto; Beef Tartare with Oyster; Tuna with Tomato and Capers; Eel with Iberian Ham; Lobster with Corn and Almond Emulsion; “Our Caldeirada”; Pork Shoulder with Paprika Paste, Bulhão Pato Sauce, and for dessert, Egg Yolk Confit with Cinnamon and Mint. Each course will be paired with wines selected by a sommelier from Chef Rui Paula’s team, in collaboration with various national producers.
