ENVIRONMENTAL

At MS Group, we are committed to protect the environment and promote sustainable practices in all areas of our operations. We recognize the importance of preserving natural resources for future generations and are dedicated to reduce our environmental impact. Energy and waste management, water conservation, reduce the consumption of non-recyclable materials, and aligning our purchasing policy with sustainability guidelines are some of the concerns in our hotels. We strive to inspire our teams and guests, involving them in our initiatives to enhance our environmental efforts.

Our Environmental Policy:

In our daily lives, we make rational use of natural resources and energy, minimising the effects of pollution on the environment, through various actions, namely:

– Reducing water consumption: our units are equipped with water-saving devices, namely flow reducers on taps and showers and dual-flush toilets, and we encourage our guests and clients to use water responsibly.

– Energy efficiency: we have implemented energy efficiency measures, such as installing LED lighting and presence sensors in common areas, and we carry out regular energy audits.  Most of our units are fitted with solar panels.

– Waste management: We have set up a recycling system in all areas of our units (waste separation containers in rooms, common areas and kitchens); reusable goods packaging (styrofoam, plastic boxes, wooden fruit boxes, among others) is returned to suppliers.

– We have reduced disposable plastics, particularly disposable unidoses in our restaurants (jams, honey, yoghurt, among others) and we provide daily hygiene products (shampoo, soap, shower gel) in dispensers. We bottle our own water in glass bottles.

– We encourage our employees to participate in and carry out training and awareness-raising activities to protect the environment, instilling a sense of involvement and commitment.

– We implement strategies to reduce food waste, integrating surpluses into snacks that we offer to our guests and employees.

We will keep our guests, clients, employees and suppliers informed about our environmental initiatives, whenever appropriate.
